Student Work Permits: What You Need to Know
All students under 18 years of age who wish to work must obtain a work permit. Federal and State laws govern the number of hours a minor may work while school is in session.

How to Get a Work Permit

Secure a Job
You must first be hired by an employer. -
Get the Application

Pick up a Work Permit Application from the school office, or

Download it online.

Complete All Sections

Student: Fill out your portion.

Parent/Guardian: Sign the application.

Employer: Complete their section.

Submit the Application

Bring the completed application to your school guidance technician.

We will verify your GPA (must be 2.0 or higher).

If approved, we will issue and sign your official Work Permit.
